Kendrick Dial is a Poet, an Author, Motivational Speaker, and Entrepreneur, who has made it his mission to unveil the truth of life to the masses and commence the healing process of all people. Kendrick considers himself a modern day Renaissance man, who's well rounded and familiar with the World abroad and the connections of the people within it vs. the smaller world he grew-up in; Sunny South Dallas, TX.
Kendrick began writing poetry in his younger years, using paper as a tool to express the feelings of his heart, ‘WORDS,’ that were seldom heard from his mouth. He had dreams of becoming a stage performer and as he matured, he found a way to couple his love for writing with his dreams of performing on stage. Now his words bring oxygen to a hate-filled world sipping its last breath. Although he has been writing since he was a child, it was not until his young adult years that writing allowed the intensity of his feelings, to fully express the pages of his life.
As well as being an established Poet, Kendrick is an inspiring Motivational Speaker, an awesome MC and a brilliant songwriter. He is currently the host of a monthly Christian Event called The Psalmist Hour; a venue that allows artists i.e. singers, musicians, poets, and more, to display their God given talents and where Kendrick is afforded the opportunity to showcase the different spectrums of his talents.
Kendrick has spoken in various venues around the nation from colleges and churches, to corporations and cultural events. Some include: San Diego, Ca/ Diamond Literary Festival, R. Kendrick is also a Youth Advisor at Bayview Baptist Church of San Diego, and volunteers his time and talents to help out various youth organizations in San Diego. He's committed to helping youth gain insight in their lives and the world around them by using art and spiritual guidance as a conduit. Kendrick is a qualified AIDS and STD facilitator who's pursuing a degree in Afrikana Studies and receiving certification as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the U.S. Navy.
Kendrick has just published his first book of poetry entitled " Da JOYNT." The Journey Notwithstanding. This is a look inside of the life, heart and soul of this spirited young brotha. He is a poet, who speaks straight from the pages of life to your soul, through truth and humorous realism. Poetry with a new twist of spiritual prevalence, seasoned with southern-twang.
